The Philadelphia 76ers have named their new head coach and Doug Collins gets the nod. Collins, drafted by the Sixers #1 in the 1973 draft, played eight seasons for the 76ers. Collins has been a TNT broadcaster since leaving the Wizards in 2003.
Collins career record of 332-287 allows him to take over the drivers seat and the #2 pick in the 2010 Draft. Terms of the deal have not been released but Collins is set to be introduced this afternoon at a team press conference in Philly.
