Miami Dolphins slot receiver Davone Bess has been rewarded with a contract extension for 3 years-$9 million making him the highest paid player at that position.
The undrafted receiver from Hawaii has shown that he is well worth the extension as he has put in hard work in practice and on the field and the entire organization has taken notice. Bess has posted numbers (155 rec-1,591yds) that have him moving up the Dolphins list of most receptions of players in their first three seasons. He currently is 3rd on the list and needs only 7 receptions to pass Randy McMichael and 10 receptions to move into the top position ahead of Chris Chambers. Head Coach Tony Sparano stated "he's a great example of me being able to point to and saying there's a guy right there that, your an undrafted free agent and he's a guy that we rewarded, he deserves that!"
