Veteran swingman Jerry Stackhouse has been signed by the Miami Heat. After working out yesterday for the team, Stackhouse was able to impress and earn a spot.
Stackhouse, a UNC product, is joining his 6th NBA team after playing in Milwaukee last season. Stackhouse brings with him career averages of 18pt/pg, 3rbs/pg and 3asst/pg. The signing was needed as Mike Miller has been lost to injury and will not return until possible January 2011
This news was received in a tweet from Dwyane Wade this afternoon when he tweeted.... "Welcome Jerry Stackhouse to the Miami family everyone. He is now apart of us. Shhhh dont bring up 06." on twitter. Amazing how the social network is breaking news, whether large or small.
